The Terminal (2004)

Year: 2004
Director: Stephen Spielberg
Tom Hanks, Catherine Zeda-Jones, Diego Luna

My Rating: ★★★☆ 3.5
Watch Situation: At home, rented from TSUTAYA

The most impressive part was Tom Hanks’ dialect and accent. I didn’t know he plays a role of foreigner, especially someone from the country around Russia. (Of course I understand Klakoujia is not a real countryHowever he did good job. More I get into the story, uncomfortable feeling of seeing Tom as a foreigner decreased. At the end, he was perfectly a man named Victor from Klakoujia.

Everything happens in the terminal of JFK, so the scale of the story seems compact, but I guess this compactness is what this movie aimed for. Not too many human relations, too many incidents, too much speed and so on. And I like it. It is just comfortable being inside of this movie. Nothing shock or big happen like action super movie, but that’s OK.
The ending was little different from what I was imagining but still that’s OK.

It’s a good choice for when you want to relax and have a little laugh.
